Current state appears pointless...
If the history and distribution are taken out of the detail the page does not appear to serve any purpose other than being a list of names and including too many variations duplicates those pages for the variations.
Deleting Middlemass, Middlemas and Middlemiss would not appear to impact on pages for the individuals listed.
Originally I made my contribution because this is my family surname and a family history research interest.
