Date of founding
User:Stalepie wrote (As to the date of founding, Margaret Newsham mentions the NRO in a 1999 article "ECHELON Was My Baby," see external link.
I was peripherally attached to the process that created it - they talked about the thing for a few years before formalizing it, and for parts of that period, they referred to the fact that they were talking informally as the "NRO". So the name may have been heard before its founding date.
But the article you're citing refers to the National Reconnaissance Office, which I believe was a precursor of the NSA, not the Number Resource Organization. --Alvestrand 10:58, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

A short article only connected to Regional Internet registry - merge it into that page? Only 11 other IP pages link to it ([1]). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.170.128.65 (talk) 14:59, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
