I would like a response here please, instead of editing the actual page. I did live in Belize 14 years, that would make me a real "source". The article is missing some perspective to an otherwise good artcle.

This is obviously written by someone without a good "source" knowledge of Belize. Otherwise this person would of known that Belize after it's 1981 independence owned all the infrastucture.

And was likely encouraged by the imf and many others to "privatize"..

With adequate knowledge of socialism and it's fabric, one would not advise a "tiny" "developing" "new" country to sell off all the assests, that in fact financed the government. So now they are in deep debt because of privatizing policy , which was the governments , main and practically only source of income.
