It provides accurate and referenced information about shared ranches.

The article should not be merged with ranch. It is a new subject and different than the traditional view of a ranch.

It is actually not a type of ranch but a type of residential community. Like a golf course community. They have parcels to build on inside of a gated community around a golf course.
Now people are buying large ranches, the size of a golf course development. They are dividing the large ranches into smaller parcels and they a creating a recreational aspect to it (like a golf course) so the residences of the community have thing to do on site.
The county even zones the property different, from agriculture to residential. USA today, forbes, Inc., and the like are calling it a shared ranch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.101.241.73 (talk) 03:32, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
