Re:Build Manufacturing
From the sources cited, it looks like Slate Auto was spun out from Re:Build Manufacturing, but Re:Build is neither a founder nor an investor in Slate. I don't have a desktop PC handy, so it's harder for me to undo the two most recent IP address edits; I'd appreciate if another editor could check on this. White 720 (talk) 23:21, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Misleading description paragraph
The first paragraph states that Slate Auto is an American startup company, the year it was founded, and where its based but then states that its investors include Jeff Bezos, Mark Walter, and Thomas Tull without mentioning the founders of the company or the current CEO. This feels misleading as most users will only do a quick glance at the summary while also not giving proper recognition to the actual founders. The information about investors seems like a strange piece of information to add to the top of the page as it is mostly irrelevant to what the company is. I'm not an editor but i believe that the founders and ceo of the company should be stated in the first paragraph and the investors should be with the information about the company's funding in the history section. 99.249.234.152 (talk) 16:41, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
- The company was not founded as an independent entity; it was spun out from Re:Build Manufacturing, a separate company. Per TechCrunch, "[Miles] Arnone is considered to be Slate’s founder … but his day-to-day job is serving as CEO of Re:Build Manufacturing." White 720 (talk) 21:22, 6 September 2025 (UTC)

I have a connected edit request to update this article. There's some confusion above about Re:Build, the parent of Slate, so I'd like to try to address it with this request.
- Please add this to the end of the article, in a new section entitled Re:Build Manufacturing.
