It says Nijinsky's choreography was "long believed lost", then makes a suspiciously quick jump to talking about the Joffrey Ballet.

Unless we name the person who found Nijinsky's choreography, and say precisely where and when they found it, it's a safe bet that it was never found, and that the attempted re-creation was pure guesswork. TooManyFingers (talk) 21:14, 3 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

I think this is probably all right. The two-volume International Dictionary of Ballet says "The basis of the ballet is Stravinsky’s libretto, which describes an ancient Slavonic ritual. A 300-year-old woman consecrates the earth with a solemn kiss …." And Sally Banes says in Dancing Women: Female Bodies on Stage, "In the first act, the games and ceremonies of the groups of nameless, generalized young people – both youths and maidens – are framed by the entrances of two particularized elders, one of each gender: the 300-year-old Woman at the beginning and the male Sage (The Oldest and Wisest One) at the end."
