Talk:Transcript (education)

Untitled

I would like to expand this article so that it is not a stub. Perhaps it would be good to list the uses of transcripts, their legal status (laws relating to producing fake transcripts or FERPA), etc. Do you think that would be appropriate for this article?

Definitely, please do so --71.163.66.254 18:08, 25 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Split Page

I would like to split this page to reflect the difference between an academic transcript and a permanent record. In the United States, a permanent record contains more information than a student's academic performance. It can also include information about a student's family financial information, student pregnancy data, mental health issues, illnesses, jail sentences, etc. See US News Report for more information.

  • Oppose The contents may be different in the United States, but that difference can easily be explained here. The length of the article is so short that a separate page is not required. Nobody has acted on the proposal in the 2 1/2 years it has been dormant, so I have removed the proposal from the article. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 03:12, 29 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
