DO or NJ?

This article says the prosign DO is used to shift from International Morse Code to Wabun. But the Prosigns for Morse code article primarily uses NJ to specify the same sequence (dahdididahdahdah) and mentions DO only as an alternative representation. NJ at least has an intended interpretation: Next Japanese. I have no idea which one is preferable, or if both have preferred contexts. Expert assistance would be good, with suitable references cited. 71.197.166.72 (talk) 10:17, 1 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Archaic kana do still have a Wabun code form, right?

e.g. "yi", "ye", or "wu". I believe these abandoned characters do still exist in Wabun code, so for completion purposes, wouldn't it be helpful to add this to the table? 192.0.217.147 (talk) 00:39, 29 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Overlap with International Morse ("ITU")

I spotted a couple mistakes and fixed them, and added a reference to the appropriate specification (ITU-R M.1677-1), copied from Morse code. I have not properly checked the rest of the chart. More importantly, there's a disconnect between "ITU" and "International Morse" and other Morse codes for other languages. One option (which I have just taken) is to get rid of all the accented Latin letters not specified by M.1677-1, which leaves only "accented e". Another (which I am not opposed to) is to find another column name other than "ITU". If we were to take the second option, we still have a chart with only one overlapping letter for each kana (or mora, or punctuation mark), while a quick glance at Morse code#Characters and prosigns shows that there are several alternatives, and Morse code for non-Latin alphabets (which has the same problem with its charts, and some other general issues) gives even more non-Latin ones.
