Talk:Zero order process
Problems
There seem to be some problems with this article as it stands. Firstly, it is unreferenced. Secondly, it is currently is only about zero-order processes — one would really expect to see something about zero-order approximations, for example. Thirdly, the definition of zero-order process does not agree with the literature. In chemical kinetics, a zero-order process is one where the rate of change of some substance does not depend on the concentration of any element; in a first-order process it is proportional to the unreacted amount; in a second-order process it is proportional to the product of two such amounts.[1]. In statistics, an r-order process is, as the article suggests, one in which an observation is independent of all observations before the r preceding.[2]. - Thanks! In an attempt to improve this at least slightly, I've now moved this article from zero order to zero order process, and changed zero order to be a disambiguation page. -- The Anome (talk) 02:24, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
