This template is used to provide a link to the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina (KONS) database (http://aplikacija.kons.gov.ba/kons/public/nacionalnispomenici) for a specified listed heritage monuments Bosnia and Herzegovina.
For listed heritage sites, the database records all those in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is updated as changes to entries are made, and new listings are added.
The database also contains the following registered historic locations or sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina:
- Movable cultural property / heritage
- Immovable property / heritage
- Historical monuments
- Protected site
- Cultural monuments
- World Heritage sites
Usage
Required parameter
- num: the 'list entry number' from the database .
Optional parameters
Additional information for the title:
- desc: additional text description such as the name of the property or site; useful if there are several listed objects in an article. If this parameter is not used, default text 'Details from listed property database' will be displayed instead.
- category: to display the Category of a listed property; enter as II, I or 0. Only appears if
|desc=is also used. - author: defaults to KONS, but can be changed to another name if desired
- author-link: defaults to KONS, but is not set by default if author is set to something other than KONS
- date: the date provided by KONS; can be a full or partial date
- year: the year provided by KONS; use of
|date=is recommended, see Template:Cite web/doc#Date for proper usage - orig-date: the year information was first provided by KONS; only appears if
|date=or|year=is also used - access-date: the date a Wikipedia editor retrieved information from the KONS list database.
- mode: defaults to
|mode=cs1; set to|mode=cs2to provide consistency with citation style 2, as produced by{{citation}} - postscript: controls the closing punctuation for the citation; defaults to a period (
.); for no terminating punctuation, set to|postscript=none, however using|mode=cs2does this automatically - fewer-links: use
|fewer-links=yesto remove repeated wikilinks where the template is used more than once in an article - ref: defaults to KONS List Number, but can be reset to any value
- short: use
|short=yeswith|num=to produce an external link with just the list number shown;|short=yessuppresses the display of other parameters.
- noauthor: use
|noauthor=yeswith|num=to remove or suppress KONS and Commission

Inline citations for referencing
If a short citation is required (not to be confused with |short=) and one of the {{harv}} templates or {{sfn}} is used then {{harv|KONS|KONS list entry number}} will link the short reference to the long one.

in this example we use the 'Old fort of Ljubuški, the architectural ensemble' 'num'. (This is different from the standard use of the {{harv}} that links using the parameters 'author' and 'date' or 'year'.)

In most cases when referencing KONS page number is not needed but it can be included.
