This template creates a custom userbox with the flag or emblem of a nation, state, or province.

To use this userbox template, place one of the following lines of Wikitext on your user page:

Full code: {{Userbox-flag|region|info|region name|res=resident?|cit=citizenship?|float=float|align=align}}

|1= The required name or ISO 3166 region code of a nation, state, province, or district.

• See Category:Multiuse regional user templates for currently available region names and codes.

|2= The userbox text / activity

• Default: lives in

|3= The name of the region to show

• Default: parameter 1's proper name

|res= The optional residence parameter. A yes indicates that you are a current resident of the region and you wish to have your userpage included in [[Category:Wikipedians in region]]

• Default: no

|cit= The optional citizenship parameter. A yes indicates that you are a current citizen of the region and you wish to have your userpage included in [[Category:region demonym Wikipedians]]

• Default: no

|float= The float/alignment of the box

• Default: left

|align= The alignment of the text

• Default: center
