Toriano Pride Jr. (born December 18, 2003) is an American football cornerback for the Missouri Tigers. He previously played for the Clemson Tigers.

Early life and high school

Pride attended high school at East St. Louis Senior. Coming out of high school, Pride was rated as a four star recruit, the 10th best cornerback, and the 71st overall player in the class of 2022.[1] Pride also held offers from schools such as Clemson, Missouri, Ohio State, and Oregon.[2] Ultimately, Pride decided to commit to play college football for the Clemson Tigers.[3][4]

College career

Clemson

In week five of the 2022 season, Pride recorded his first career interception in a win over NC State.[5] Pride finished his freshman season in 2022, playing in 14 games with two starts, where he finished the year with 23 tackles, four pass deflections, a sack, an interception and a safety.[6] In week seven of the 2023 season, Pride tallied seven tackles and three pass deflections in a win over Wake Forest.[7] In the 2023 season, Pride recorded 14 tackles with one going for a loss, and four pass deflections.[8] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Pride decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[9][10]

In Pride's career with the Tigers he played in 26 games while making three starts where he notched 36 tackles with two being for a loss, nine pass break ups, and an interception.[11]

Missouri

Pride decided to transfer to play for the Missouri Tigers.[12][13]
