247lib.com supports Google Android devices and Apple iPads, so that staff and patrons can use their mobile devices to query the library catalogue, book items (e.g. equipment, interpreters, or rooms ) reserve items, review items, purchase items (if configured), renew their loans, specify their personal preferences, engage in private social media and manage their profile.

The 247lib.com library management system is comprehensive and includes modules for authorities, budgets, cataloguing, clients (borrowers), electronic surveys (satisfaction and priority polls), enquiries, reports, ordering and invoicing, periodicals, stock items, supplier management and Z39.50. If you do not want any of the modules, the configurator can be used to turn off the modules which you do not need using a web browser.

Using Z39.50 you can connect to other libraries via the internet and import their catalogue records, which saves time and allows libraries to populate their catalogues from resources, which are recognised to have skilled librarians.

A wide variety of contents enhancements can be configured to allow the use of book covers and reviews from a wide variety of resource providers.
