To date, drummer Aaron Comess, a founding member of the Grammy nominated, ten million plus album selling band Spin Doctors, has played on and/or produced over 200 albums with an acclaimed and diverse roster of artists such as, Joan Osborne, Chris Whitley, Rachael Yamagata, Bilal, New York Electric Piano and Marc Cohen to name a few. Comess has performed live and on T.V with some of  biggest artists around including Natasha Bedingfield , Andrea Bocelli, Aaron Neville and many more.

Comess is still active playing live dates with the Spin Doctors and is a member of Joan Osborne's touring band. he keeps very active in the NYC music scene and plays with some of the best singer/songwriters and musicians in town as well as being an in demand studio musician working with some of the top producers in the music business including Phil Ramone,Malcom Burn,Matt Wallace and John Alagia to name a few .

in 2010 he has been subbing for drummer Bernard Purdie in the broadway musical " Hair"

in 2008 he released his first solo record of original compositions entitled "Catskills Cry" featuring bassist Tony Levin and guitarist Bill Dillon.

in 2011 he released " beautiful mistake " featuring Teddy Kumpel and Richard Hammond . in 2014 he released " blues for use " with the same line up.
