Alex Wood was born on March 20th, 1991 in New Haven CT. She grew up in CT until she was seven, and her family decided to live in their motorhome and travle the country. After almost a year on the road, Alex's family returned home to CT, where they lived another year before heading back to San Diego, CA, where they had spent 8 months of their time on the road. On their way out they stopped in Ithaca, NY, a small town at the bottom of the Finger Lakes. They decided to stay a while when Alex's mom was offered a job, and her older brother Patrick got accepted into the local school. A little bit turned into five years, and that is where she is right now! She has developed a love for acting and directing films, and writing films and novels. Her first novel will be published at the beginning of 2007, and she has a short film that will be finished by the end of the year. She also has many hobbies including gymnastics, singing, reading, learning Korean language and culture, penpaling, and learning Hwardo, a Korean martial art that she has recently earned her black belt in. She also enjoys watching movies. Some of her favorites are Stand By Me, Where The Red Fern Grows, Lord Of The Rings, all of the films by Hayao Miyazaki, Hero, House Of Flying Daggers, The Outsiders, Tex, Star Wars, Back To The Future, Some Like It Hot, and many many more!
