Greetings, Earthlings!

I'm not a (very) proactive editor around these parts, but I apply my keen eye for structural detail to copy-editing as I go.

I am a comma-pedant, but my style model may be dated, and I'll make exceptions for artistry of expression.

My mom and I are both avid readers, and she's a published author, so I learned a lot about the Queen's fair & confounding colonialized language from her. Her editor once commented that she submitted the cleanest manuscripts he had ever seen, and yet she'll tell you her knowledge of formal grammatical structure is rudimentary at best. I would describe myself similarly, but somehow we make it work and flow and read well. Or so we're told. And that's what I work on most.

I also adjust weaselly language, and logical fallacies and inconsistencies, if I can, as long as they don't require a complete rewrite.

Also, my speeling iz for teh crap.
