Austin Curtis Cannon, better known by his stage name "Austin Fresh", was born April 18th, 1994 in Montevideo, MN. He grew up in Clarkfield, MN with his parents: Yvonne & Curtis, and two sisters: Lauren and Leandra. In 2000, his family moved to Sebeka, MN where he attended Sebeka High School. He wrote a few songs here and there but never went 100 percent public. Always having a passion for music, Austin was highly involved in the band program in high school. He was leader of the school Drumline, and the Marching Band. He also played a big role in the Pep Band and Concert Band. He also loved to mess around with tracks and play on his Numark DJ Turntables. In the fall of 2012, Austin began to attend Minnesota State University Moorhead, where his music talents really took flight. Austin started to release tracks under the name of 'Rated.' He released his first mixtape entitled "Heartbreak Fever." After finding copyright issues with the name 'Rated', Austin went through several names before eventually landing on the stage name 'Austin Fresh.' The name is derived from his original birth name Austin and how he always dresses nice and likes to keep Fresh. Austin than proceeded to release tracks and in early January of 2013, he released his first mixtape under the new name entitled 'Accidentally Fresh' which can be downloaded on DatPiff.com.
