BLUE'S BIO: (London September 2008) After winning the Mr. Drummer UK title, ex-Royal Marine BLUE BLAKE and his brother GAGE first appeared on the XXX scene as COLT models. After starring together in the film THE BLAKE TWINS: RAW AND UNCUT (Palm Drive Studio), Blue was approached by the TOM OF FINLAND COMPANY to star in a movie based on the drawings of TOM. The movie, THE WILD ONES, was an enormous hit globally and launched Blue into adult movie superstardom.   Blue went on to star in films for various companies, always choosing interesting and compelling roles which highlighted his acting abilities as well as his size and stature. He went on to win critical acclaim for his gritty performances culminating in a BEST ACTOR nod for his role in MICHAEL ZEN’s COCKFIGHT (All World’s Video).   It was on the set of NIGHT WALK (VCA Interactive) that Blue met Director GINO COLBERT, where he went on to write and star in a trilogy of movies (for Colbert): BLACK AND BLUE, RED, WHITE, AND BLUE, and MEN IN BLUE (Blue received both BEST ACTOR and BEST SCREENPLAY nominations for the latter two).   Next up: Blue was approached to star in a documentary alongside legendary directors CHI CHI LARUE and GINO COLBERT about the adult industry, entitled SHOOTING PORN. The documentary was a huge favorite and a hit at film festivals around the world.     After winning the BEST ACTOR award at the GRABBY AWARDS (1998) for his lead role in MEN IN BLUE (New Age Pictures), Blue retired from the industry and toured America with the hit comedy MAKING PORN alongside such adult film legends as RYAN IDOL and REX CHANDLER. Blue later returned to California after a 6 month Off Broadway run and formed his company BIG BLUE PRODUCTIONS, INC, a company dedicated to making adult films (which he would write, produce and direct) with a bodybuilding theme. His first film DEMOLITION DADDY earned (5) five GAYVN nominations, including BEST DIRECTOR.   Blue followed this success with the smash hit films- MARRIED COPS DO, TALES FROM THE TREEHOUSE, and CRASH OF THE TITANS (one of the biggest selling movies of 2001). In 2002, Blue’s releases included STRAIGHT BODYBUILDERS DO, HARD AS ROCK and COWBOY (which is Blue’s bestselling video to date). COWBOY received a whopping (10) ten GAYVN nominations including BEST DIRECTOR and BEST SCREENPLAY for Blue’s work. The following year, he produced and starred in his revival of the highly successful off-Broadway show MAKING PORN. Blue’s new version starred world famous porn star MATTHEW RUSH, and it played to sellout crowds in Washington DC, Boston, and San Diego.   In 2004, BIG BLUE PRODUCTIONS exploded with the release of THE MATRIXXX: A MUSCLE EXPLOSION, BRUTE, (which featured MTV reality star TONY CAGE and former pro-wrestler JAY POISON) , MUSCLE MEN MOVING COMPANY, INC. (which starred former pro-ice hockey champ ROBERT VAN DAMME), and the sequel to COWBOY, COWBOY RIDES AGAIN.   During 2005, Blue produced YOUNG GODS (starring JASON ADONIS) and was also honored by AVN MAGAZINE by being entered into the GAYVN LEGEND PORN HALL OF FAME. Blue then went on to star in an HBO Real Life documentary called PORNUCOPIA, and took time off to finish writing OUT OF THE BLUE: Confessions of an Unlikely Porn Star, his new autobiography (just out via Running Press).   Although Blue has retired from in front of the camera, he’s making just as big a splash behind the lens directing films. Besides finishing up OUT OF THE BLUE, he returned to filmmaking with the sequel to MUSCLEMEN MOVING COMPANY, INC.—MUSCLEMEN MOVING COMPANY, INC. II, which starred legendary bodybuilder TY FOX, who bottomed for the first time on film. The movie was a huge hit and went to garner a GRABBY nomination in 2007. Blue also received a MALEFLIXXX VIEWERS CHOICE AWARD (at the GAYVN Awards ceremony) for having one of the Top 10 Best Selling films of the year for video-on-demand for MUSCLEMEN MOVING COMPANY, INC. I. 2007 also saw the release of the critically acclaimed THE MUSCLE PIT, which critics heralded as “the best film Blue Blake ever made!”   Blue currently resides in London, and is actively involved in the promotion and marketing for OUT OF THE BLUE: Confessions of an Unlikely Porn Star” to media outlets everywhere.
