Michael Edward Burns was born November 4th 1966 in New Port News Virginia. He grew up in Humble Texas riding motorcycles and go carts at the age of 6 yeaes old. His parents were divorced at the age of 7 years old and moved to Albuquerque New Mexico so his mom could be close to her relatives. In 1985 Michael joined the NAVY and gathered electrical and mechanical experience and utilized them in the automotive industry. In 1992 Michael met with the best engineers in the automotive industry such as Carol Shelby, Nikki Lauda and AL Unser Jr. In 1991 Michael drove the Mercedes C11 in GT group C for 2 seasons. His driving record was dissolved after group C was eliminated. In 1993 Michael moved to Wisconsin after his career as a race car driver he sought a new one in construction. In 2000 Michael moved to Costa Rica and worked in the Oil and Gas industry for 10 years. Michael married and soon returned to the United States so his daughters could have a good education. Michael has built many multi-family, residential, commercial and industrial projects. Michael is still a superintendent and is currently living in Albuquerque. Michael has his full valid competition license from the S.C.C.A. and continues to race GT and GT3.
