Best known for "Our Lady of Tamale" a rocumentary about Virginia Ramos AKA the Tamale Lady SF.

This native Californian was born in Berkeley California and was raised by his father a forensic psychiatrist and his mother a poet,
play write and theater critic. After graduating Humboldt State University with a BA in Technology in the Arts,
he moved to San Francisco in 1990 to pursue his creative career. In 2004 he created the documentary “Our Lady of Tamale”
about Virginia Ramos a Mexican immigrant who found love by selling Tamales in the Mission bars of San Francisco.
He has been involved with many projects since then including a documentary about the Giant Catfish of Thailand,
the kung fu zombie movie “Meter Maid Me Massacre” and has created many music videos for various musical groups.
In 2006, he received a Certificate of Honor from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for his contributions to the film
and music community of San Francisco. In 2008 he was honored with the Award of Excellence from the Alice Film Festival.
He is currently seeking funding for a documentary on the group Engineers Without Borders and their project improving
the living conditions in the remote village of Yanayo, Bolivia.
