Coach Chip (aka Chip Seagle) is a graduate of Troy State University; Coach Chip has been coaching high school football since 1985; he has coached in over 400 football games. He coached all over the state of Alabama, but his greatest success came with the Lanett Panthers from 2009 – to 2019. While at Lanett, the Panthers won two state titles, broke several scoring records, and had many all-state players and the 2019 Mr. Football for the state of Alabama (Kristian Story). Coach Chip has coached several players who have played in the NFL, and numerous players he has coached have played college ball. In 2017, he was named the Alabama Coach of the year. After a four-year run that saw the Panthers score over 2,000 points. Coach Chip is married to Tammy Myhand Pierce, a realtor in West Georgia. They have six children between them, three grandchildren, and Angus Ferguson (their dog). Coach Chip is currently retired from fulltime coaching, but volunteers has the offensive line coach at the Heritage School in Newnan, Georgia.

He has also written several well received football coaching books. They include The Complete Jet Sweep Manual and The Offensive Line Manaul for Gap-Down-Backer Blocking: Unleashing the Power of Angles and Leverage. Both are available in paperback and as ebooks. He has two additional books that are only available as ebooks; The Gun Power Spread System Manual and his My Big Book of Bucks.

He also operates a very successful YouTube channel directed toward football coaches and hardcore fans, Football Talk with Coach Chip, and a podcast, Football Talk with Coach Chip: The Podcast.
