Hi I am Dianne, I began to edit in late 2023 when I became WANZ Executive Adviser.

I am the Executive Advisor for Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand (WANZ), a chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation since 2025. I assist the WANZ Board with governance duties, systems and processes, administration, project management and Board work. I also supervise our Marketing and Communications Coordinator who has been with us since the second half of 2024. My role grows and changes as required by the Board, and by our editing community, and also the requirements of the Wikimedia Foundation.

I enjoy being part of a global community, making progress locally as we expand our editor base, and collaborating across the world on ideas and initiatives to ensure knowledge is open and available to everyone.

Interests

I am based in Wellington, New Zealand and love distilling herbs into hydrosols and using beautiful copper stills. I also make high grade vodka and handcrafted gin distillations using fresh herbs.

I like to travel around New Zealand on my Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle. I still consider myself a learner and my skills improve every time I ride.
