This is the template for a confirmed/reported tornado.

• color is the color-coding for the EF#. It follows the color scheme of tropical cyclones

• storm is for EF0; cat1 is for EF1; cat2 is for EF2; cat3 is for EF3; cat4 is for EF4; and cat5 is for EF5

• EF is the Enhanced Fujita Scale rating (0 to 5)
• location is the location of where the tornado touched down (optional to include where it lifted). Abbreviate compass directions and link towns appropriately

• example would be location=W of [[Wichita, Kansas|Wichita]] to E of [[Wichita, Kansas|Wichita]]

• county is the county the tornado touched down in, pipe the link to only include the county name. If there are multiple counties, separate them by commas and if there are multiple states, use the state abbreviation in parenthesis for counties outside the touchdown state

• example would be county=[[Sedgwick County, Kansas|Sedgwick]]

• lat and lon these two are to fill in the coordinate template provide within this template. Use decimal degrees (i.e. lat=39.33 | lon=-89.24). Do not forget the negative sign for longitude for the western hemisphere
• location2 is just the town name of the area mentioned where the tornado touched down (for use in the coordinate template). For the above example, this would simply be Wichita
• date this is to fill out the date stamp within the coordinate template
• time is the time the tornado touched down in UTC
• path is the track length of the tornado in miles (automatically converted into kilometers).
• comments is for any details regarding the damage and/or track of the tornado.
