Danny Wayne Pettry II

Danny Pettry is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) with a Master of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
Pettry specializes in offering home study correspondence courses and Internet courses for Recreation Therapists and Allied Healthcare Professionals. These courses offer an easier way to earning Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Recreation Therapists and allied healthcare professionals, including: activity professionals, art therapists, music therapists, dance therapists, massage therapists, play therapists, social workers and counselors can benefit from these courses.


Pettry offers fast, flexible, enjoyable, simple-to-complete, and motivational courses. Courses are professionally and personally rewarding.


Each course has an outline and a ten-question multiple-choice test. Most courses require reading selected chapters from a book.

The number of hours for each course is the approximate time that it takes to complete a course. Faster readers could complete courses in less time.

As with any continuing education agency, NCTRC does not endorse continuing education programs. NCTRC accepts courses that meet NCTRC standards for CTRS re-certification. All of Danny Pettry’s course outlines have used NCTRC’s job analysis areas for a CTRS as a guide to continuing education.

Continuing Education Programs

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (CTRS) are required to earn continuing education units for re-certification. As with any continuing education agency/ program, the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) does not pre-approve or endores any contuing education program.
