Danny J is a recording artist from Nottingham UK with the full name Danny J Molloy and born 1989 27th September, and has brought out 4 Hit albums already. Including 'The Music Replay', 'Formula' & 'Hit The Streets'. Danny J was inspired by the artists Rihanna & Nicki Minaj because there very unique and global. DJ's debuet album 'The Music Replay', was voted one of the best albums of 2011, with the amzing singles 'Without You', 'The Music's In My Heart' & 'Watch And Learn'.The Times said it was a great album and voted it 8/10, which is pritty impressive for a artsist.
Danny J also has starred in the hit movie 'St.Trinians' (2007) & The Cheetah Girls (2003), playing Dorinda's Sibling. DJ grew up in Nottingham UK, but no lives in the New York in America, where DJ recorded her albums. In the 2006, DJ signed pu to sing for Evan & Carl, who have signed big artist such as Rihanna, Kanye West & Keri Hilson. They saw great potential in DJ and signed DJ to Def Jam Records. By 2007 DJ had released her first single 'I'm Ready To Go' from the album 'Hit The Streets' which went to number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Her first album 'Hit The Streets', recieved great reviews and peaked at the 11 spot on the Billboard Hot Albums Chart. It got good feedback from 'The Sun' & 'American Express', with a R&B/POP, up-tempo feel to the music. It includes Hit Singles, 'I'm Ready To Go', 'Cherris The Moment' & 'Echo'. However the album contained too many tracks for people's liking.
DJ is a lovely, kind, heart warming person who has great friends, such as Raven Symone, Keily Williams, Rihanna (Def Jam friend) & Jessie J. On her albums DJ has had collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Jay-Z & The Script.
In 2008 DJ brought out her second album 'Formula', which had the hit singles 'Boys,Boys,Boys', 'Temptation' & 'Last Chance'.It peaked number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 albums, beating sales from 'Hit The Streets'. However 'Formula' had explicit lyrics leaving it with a 'Parental Advisory' Logo, but that didn't stop it from selling ver well. 'Formula' recieved outstanding reviews (even with its powerful lyrics)leaving it with 6/10. Which is medioka for an album, but still pritty good.
DJ seemed to have taken a break in 2009, with gigs and appering on Lil Waynes tour & moving into a flat with BFF Raven Symone. But in 2010 third album 'Lights' was released. Lights wasn't released in Canada for term reasons. 'Lights' peaked at number 8, not quite beating 'Formula', but more than 'Hit The Streets'. DJ's first billboard number 1 was made 5th March 2010, with the single 'We Ain't Coming Back'. Which was an R&B ballad about a girl leaving a man, which he thought she were to come back. The album had so many ballads, it was very draining said 'The Sun', but the lyrics meant alot.
2011 (Present Day), earlier this year DJ released her new album 'The Music Replay', which recieved outstanding reviews. Funky, Incredible, Meaningful, Sassy, Sexy, said 'Mizz'. The album peaked number 2, making it DJ's biggest selling album yet, selling 20,000 copies in its first week. The song 'Without You', was the main sparkle in the album with amzing vocals & a great urban feel sound. However the song 'He Want That (Cake)', was too sexy and minipulative about sex. The line 'Wanna Lick The Icing Off', referring to a cake but also in a sexual way.
