Joe Pettitt (born 29 October 1996) better known by his stage name DeeJayPee, is an English singer-songwriter, and rapper. He is best known for his collaboration track with Portuguese rapper 'Lucenzo'. He is known slightly for his Snapback brand and eye-catching headwear on stage. His trademark is wearing a sponsored snapback hat and a pair of classic Ray Ban Wayfarers, wearing the hat at different angles.


Born and raised in Yardley, Birmingham, DeeJay grew up with his parents. When Joe was younger, he attended St. Bernadette's RC Primary school, then Lyndon secondary, attending for 2 years before being expelled for mobile phone issues. He was expelled towards the end of 2011. That was when the music career started.            As soon as he left school, Joe started writing music in his studio about "what was going on in the world". He said, "As soon as I'd finish a track I'd send it off to a record label and start a brand new track again, and thats how it went on really". DeeJay said he never heard off any label for a few months which made him want to stop composing music all together, but he carried on.            In an interview, he said "in no way do I regret getting kicked out of school and in fact I'm glad it happened because it made me start writing music. I wouldn't recommend being excluded from school to anyone though because if I didn't have music, I wouldn't have any type of career when I'm older".           January 2012 was the first he had heard any feedback from a record label. He was signed to go ahead and record his first studio album. It is named "Stories" after the first single released called "The Story"
