Dee Crawford (David Alexander Crawford) 30 may 1979. From Banbridge town is a rock musician and recording artist born in northern Ireland at a early age dee was taught the 6 string guitar by his late uncle (Vernon Campbell),Although dee at a early age was credited as a guitarist he had found it difficult Getting into bands due to him being so young. during his early teens dee has Been heard many a time quoting the line (I give up music due to chasing girls and playing computer games). Although when in the late 1990s when he got playing in a few jams with a few local musicians he got the buzz for playing again. Although his main Instrument was the guitar some of the musicians if not all the players were guitar players,so taking advice from a friend dee switched to bass,thinking there would be more a choice due to a lack of bass players. one of the first bands he work with was a lounge band called [First n last],playing mostly covers from the eagles to the sex pistols. finishing up with first n last dee and 3 other players formed [criminal damage]a punk band in witch he had recorded a EP[public enemy #1]. during the criminal damage punk days dee also started taking to the sky's with a interest he had from a early age flying helicopters[robinson r22], and then moving on to fixed wing airplanes[pa28/c151] due to financial reasons and the flight training center at aldergrove being shut down dee had lost his piloting hours and had to quit a NVQ in piloting. turning his back on flying dee put everything into music, and as criminal damage was not going as well as he wanted he packed up and went to Belfast city in where he had advertised in the local shops as a bass player looking to form a rock band. the add was quickly picked up by a band called [Dovetale] a blues rock band from Belfast sadly only lasting one gig. the band split and dee and the singer and drummer forming [Rezurrection] in 2002. Rezurrection was a 6 pic classic rock band based in Belfast city and thats where dee stayed on for the next 8 years. playing all over the country in many different locations. during the rezurrection days in 2004 dee was asked to play session work for a singer/songwriter named[Ned Kelly]. Ned had his own band[the Ned Kelly band] in which the Ned Kelly band have recorded 6 albums and a live DVD[in which Dee plays in] with the Ned Kelly band dee toured Europe twice. Dee has also worked with Justin grant[the Justin Grant band]belfast/newry in 2005/6 and in where concerts were played and even won the battle of the bands compontation in warrenpoint[ Justin declined the prize as he had not wanted the alcaime]. after parting ways with Mr grant dee went onto work with a local singer Garth Mccartian on Dees own music titled [the Majority] in where he recorded a EP. tilted [Blackout]. in 2008 Dee was asked to join a city based band called [Last Knowen Addiction] in where he got to open gigs for [the Hot house flowers & Aslan], a 5 track EP was recorded and got air play on the local radio stations. Dee left the band due to the new sound the band wanted. also during the year 2008/9 Dee was working in a 6 pic Irish folk band called[Shela Saraid] in where he had recorded a Irish folk CD again getting Airply in both local and Internation radio stations. when dee left Last Knowen Addiction he had been Intrested in forming a blues band. and before he parted ways with last knowen addiction he was working with 4 Diffrent bands. not knowing if he had the time or paticence to form another project he went for it teaming up with a blues/slide guitar player from south Africa called [Mick Dobro]. and a country n western keyboardist [Van Jammison] dee formed [Cold Blue Steel] recording a blues album the recording and mastering all controled by dee and cold blue steel still operates today[2012] with ther new album tilted [the iron curtin]. in Sep 2010 dee was asked to join a rock covers band [the Vanda Youngs] and as dee had knowen the band from over the years was a easy was to say yes. the band has played all over the country mostly biker rallies and outdoor events. the band have been rated as the uk's no1 cover band. 2010 was a good year for Dee as due to the success of the Cold blue steels knives bottols & slides album and the Vanda Youngs dee was asked to work with a old freand Steviek,a guitarist he had worked with in the Ned Kelly band. dee had lined the band up for Stevie now calling themselve[the Stevie k band] and worked on the new album that stevie had recorded and the band quickly shot over the heads of most of the local bands in the N'Ireland music scene. suppoting the pat mcmanus band/ex mamas boys & mark stanway/magnum. in june 2012 Dee and the rest of the band parted ways with steviek due to stevie geting singed to a record lable and not singing the rest of the band. In july 2012 dee has been playing bass for Henry Clunry/ex founding member of Stiff little fingers, as part of his Uk 2012 tour.
