Scott Robert Garrett (23 September 1983 -) was born in Great Falls, Montana to Richard and Donna Garrett. Garrett grew up 4th of 5 children in a strict Mormon family. Garrett's Father was in the Air Force which lead to the family relocating every 2 years. Garrett learned the violin at age 10, the cello at 12 and guitar at 14. During his senior year at Weber High School in North Ogden, UT Garrett recieved the Eagle Scout award.

After graduating high school Scott R. Garrett joined the United States Army. After training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Fort Sam Houston, TX he was stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. He was assigned to 2/506th Infantry (The same unit from the mini series Band of Brothers) where he served as a medic. During a deployment to Baghdad from November 2005 to November 2006 he treated multiple American and Iraqi patients earning him the Combat Medic Badge and other awards. After returning from Iraq Garrett was Medically Retired from the Army at 25 for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Dissociation Disorder.

Scott Robert Garrett currently lives in Clarksville, TN with his dog Dakota.
