Max Read is an American journalist. Read is currently the editor-in-chief for Gawker.

In May 2014, Time named his Twitter account one of "The 140 Best Twitter Feeds of 2014".[1]

Read joined Gawker as a staff writer.[2] Previously, Read has written for The Daily Beast, Time Out, and Anthem Magazine.[2]

Editorship

In March 2014, Max Read took over the role of editor-in-chief after John Cook left Gawker to work for First Look Media's online publication The Intercept.[2][3][4]

In April 2014, internet slang became banned per new writing style guidelines.[5][6][7][8][9][10]
