User:DooubleTap
Seb Lemery (known online as DooubleTap) is a Quebec-based software developer, server administrator, and community founder specializing in multiplayer game server development, Discord bot engineering, and web infrastructure. He is best known as the founder and lead developer of Roleplay Québec (RPQC) and is now part of its successor project, LastWay RP as Head Developer, both French-Canadian roleplay communities built on the FiveM framework for Grand Theft Auto V.
Early background
Seb has long-standing experience in network administration and IRC-based communities. He holds operator status on the UnderNet IRC network's #canada channel and a few others, and has contributed to the open-source project pisg (Perl IRC Statistics Generator), a tool used to generate statistical logs and activity reports from IRC channels and a lot of support to users with mIRC Scripting on various channels like, #mircscripting #mirc #help #aide and so on.
Roleplay Québec (RPQC)
Overview
Roleplay Québec (RPQC) is an 18+ French-Canadian strict roleplay server built on the FiveM framework, targeting the Quebec francophone gaming community. The server runs on the QBCore framework and emphasizes immersive, French-language roleplay with a strong community identity.
Seb founded RPQC and serves as its lead developer, managing the entire technical stack including server scripting, Discord bots, web infrastructure, and monetization systems.
Infrastructure
RPQC's infrastructure is hosted on an OVH dedicated server running Windows Server 2019, with process management handled via PM2 and NSSM The server is protected by OVH Edge Network Firewall rules configured for DDoS mitigation.
Web properties include:
rpqc.ca— main websitepanel.rpqc.ca— server administration panel (Node.js/Express, Discord OAuth, MySQL, MVC architecture)docs.rpqc.ca— documentation site, French content, custom theming, deployed on Vercel)photos.rpqc.ca— media hosting (Cloudflare R2, FiveManage MediaDrop)apps.lastway.ca— onboarding and recruitment forms (Vercel)
Server scripting
Seb has authored and maintained a large volume of custom Lua scripts for the RPQC/LastWay FiveM server. Notable work includes:
- Localization: Full French-Canadian translation of MDT (Mobile Data Terminal) systems, drug selling scripts, insurance scripts, and police charges configuration.
- Vehicle rental system (v3.0.6): A custom resource integrating
ox_lib,ox_target,dusa_vehiclekeys, VIP discount tiers, and Discord webhook logging. - Phone Company job: A full job resource integrating with
lb-phone, including slash commands and complete French localization. - ox_inventory configuration: Optimized
items.luafrom over 18,000 lines down by approximately 92%, alongside full configuration of shops, stashes, and vehicle storage. - Drug economy: Designed profitability targets for weed, meth, and cocaine production chains, including a relic-based drug enhancement system.
- Consumables balancing: Configured
jim-consumableswith 119 items tuned for long-term player engagement. - Skill tree & gym progression: Tuned progression systems to reward long-term play.
- Vote reward system: Built a voting incentive system integrated with Top-Serveurs.net.
- Vehicle pricing: Performed 47 corrections across a ~6,900-line
vehicles.luafile. - Anti-cheat: Developed anti-devtools and anti-dump protection resources, and hardened ACE permission configurations.
Seb has also debugged several third-party scripts, including wasabi_ambulance (hunger/thirst mechanics), pickle_prison (offline sentence handling), a custom drift chip script, and lb-phone (app refresh timing issue).
Migrations
- Migrated the character appearance system from illenium-appearance to rcore_clothing across multiple dependent scripts.
- Migrated the radial menu system from imdost to codem-supreme-radialmenu.
- Migrated the server documentation platform from GitBook to Docusaurus.
Economy & monetization
RPQC operates a Tebex storefront offering vehicle packages and virtual real estate bundles. Lemery handled full store configuration and product design.
Discord bot development
Seb develops and maintains custom Discord bots using Discord.js v14. Key systems include:
- Customs application bot: Manages the full player onboarding workflow for LastWay RP. Features include approve/reject/vocal interactive buttons, automatic role assignments on application status change, and DM notifications to applicants. A notable debugging effort resolved a double-firing interaction bug in
interactionCreate.jscaused by duplicate event listener registration. - Role management bot: General-purpose role management with i18n (internationalization) support.
Bots are deployed on the OVH dedicated server and managed via PM2.
LastWay RP
LastWay RP is the current active iteration of the French-Canadian FiveM roleplay server project, succeeding RPQC. All RPQC assets, scripts, and infrastructure have been carried forward into LastWay RP. The project retains the same strict French-Canadian roleplay philosophy and community focus.
Web infrastructure (apps.lastway.ca)
Seb is actively building a glassmorphism-styled web application hosted at apps.lastway.ca on Vercel. The system provides three onboarding forms:
- Douane — customs/immigration application
- Staff — staff application
- Dev — developer application
RedM server project
In parallel with his FiveM work, Lemery operates a RedM server based on Red Dead Redemption 2. The project underwent a full core migration from VORP to RSG-Core. Additional work includes:
- Authored full French-language server documentation using Docusaurus.
- Tuned hunting mechanics, fishing economy pricing, and thirst configuration balancing.
- Fixed NPC doctor logic.
Seb is also an official Ubuntu Canada and Ubuntu French Canadian Translator member on launchpad.net since 2021. Most of the support given on those area were done on IRC and some for translating user manuals like xUbuntu and other small distros.
