Dr EMD is an aliases used by a student of Electro-Motive Division Locomotive history. Dr EMD was a PhD student, majoring in IT management. He is employed by the federal government in the Washington DC region. He has a private library devoted to the study of Electro Motive products. He is a self described ferroequinologist.

He is a Brooklyn Technical High School Graduate from 1972, Chapman University 1990, Troy State University 1993

Dr EMD has never been employed nor been a contractor or supplier with Electro-Motive.
