Welcome World! This is the user page of EdLondon0044.
I, (born 20 August 1968), am a British Wikipedia editor who has contributed a large number of articles and edits on a wide variety of subjects on English Wikipedia since its early years, but under various usernames.
Encyclopaedia Background: I fell in love with encyclopaedias during my basic education (comprehensive school) and came to appreciate how enriching they can be for every growing human being.
During my university studies at the University of Tehran, I initiated a project called 'Earth Encyclopaedia' shortened 'EarthPedia', which aimed to create a comprehensive knowledge resource. The project received great support and attention from several professors in both Iran and the United States, and employed numerous research-students at the University of Tehran and the University of Tabriz, two of the country's biggest and leading institutions. Due to later political changes, the project was discontinued.
This historical background reflects my longstanding interest and involvement in collaborative knowledge creation.
Interests: I write a lot about English topics, history, culture and political subjects. However, I do try to confine myself to these areas:
