Elias Khrone (1992-2000) was formed in Pittsburgh's South Side by Aaron Brown (bass, vox), Dale Markham (drums), and Justin Neely (guitar, vox). They were briefly named LID and released a cassette under the name Jade for Veda. Later, in 1993, a self-titled cassette was released. The permanent name finally came from the downstairs neighbor in the apartment where the entire band lived for a time and where EK practiced. The first show was at the 1st anniversary celebration of the South Side coffeehouse the Beehive. EK performed throughout '92-'93 with bands such as 210, 100-inch Mud Cow, Mace, and various others. After a disastrous trip to Cincinatti, Dale quit. Aaron and Justin went their separate ways moving from Pittsburgh until 1996 when they returned to the 'Burgh and decided to reform Elias Khrone. Adding Glenn Fischer (drums) and Matt Kessler (bass). Aaron put piccolo strings on his bass and the new EK emerged with a totally unique sound. The CD "Theme From..." was released in 1998. Elias Khrone disbanded after a gig at the 31st Street Pub in Pittsburgh in 2000.
