My handle is "Empirical bayesian" for historical reasons. It isn't really applicable any longer. I usually use the handle "EcoQuant" elsewhere. I am a retired statistician and quantitative engineer. I am currently pursuing research in quantitative bryology as an amateur scientist, specializing in applications of digital macrophotography for studies in phenology and developing new techniques.
