Filthcat

Larry "Filthcat" Thomas (born May 8th, 1983), is an American rapper and the nephew Louis Carr (president of Media Sales for B.E.T. Entertainment). Biography Larry was born in South Chicago, but relocated to Dalton (a suburb of the city) with his family when he was five. Up until the age of ten, Larry disliked rap music, thinking the message was violent. He then saw the video of "2pac's" song "Keep Ya Head Up", which opened up his eyes to the beauty of rap. Always having been a fan of poetry, Larry started rapping at the age of 14. He claims that seeing and living the differences between urban and suburban life highly influenced his music. In 2001 Larry attended Northern Michigan University striving for a Masters in Communication. While attending school he performed with a band called "Larry Budz and the Button Downs". In 2003 Larry got kicked out of the university for commiting a fake robbery with a bb gun only two weeks after opening up for Ludacris. asing his first cd: "The Best of Filthcat Vol. 1".

Over the years Filthcat has realeased many c.d.'s and mixtapes as well as performing throughout the Chicago area. In 2006 he was interviewed by Dorrie Williams-Wheeler for "www.thabiz.com". In 2008 Larry graduated from Governers State University in University Park with a degree in Criminal Justice. Filthcat is still Recording and producing while searching for a distribution deal.
