About me
Hello, I am Flixtey a.k.a Felix Nartey an open advocate and an avid contributor to the open movement. Don't be surprised to see me on other open threads such as CC, OSM, Mozilla, etc. I am a Global Coordinator of the Wikipedia Library at the Wikimedia Foundation as (User:FNartey (WMF)), I work on coordinator support and mentorship and library outreach programs. I am passionate about on-boarding new communities and honoured to have been awarded the Wikimedian of the year in 2017.
My work
I have served on several committees to support movement wide goals, from grant committees to project based committees. I was a co-chair of the Programs Committee Wikimania 2018, currently a member of the Steering Committee for Wikiindaba and a member of the Resource Allocation Working Group for the Movement Strategy. I co-founded OFWA and have been heavily involved in growing new communities in Africa to extend the reach of Wikimedia.
