--Towny Walkthrough---

Towny is a vast land management Plug-in. What makes Towny special is the large amount of possibilities Towny provides to the players in game.

Every player who joins the server automatically becomes a resident. A resident has the choice of joining an existing town or starting their own. The player who creates the town becomes the Town Mayor. The Town Mayor has the permissions to withdraw and deposit money into the Town's bank, set up a tax rate for the town residents and assign assistants who have the same permissions as him to help run the town. Towns are divided into Townblocks which are 10x10 sections of land. The more residents there are in a town the more Townblocks they are able to claim. If two or more towns decide to become a Nation and form an Alliance, they will gain advantages like the ability to participate in Server War events and more control over land permissions. A town can claim Outposts which do not have to be connected to the town. Outposts are useful to monitor areas and have safezones across the land. Claiming an Outpost costs a certain amount of money. Outposts are afforded through Town Taxes.

Wartime is a current setting that can only be triggered by an Admin. Wartime should be a last resort for 2 or more Nations with conflicts. When War is declared the participating Nations must select who their Enemies and Allies are. The Enemies will be whom they fight against. When Wartime is initiated, there is a War Spoils Bank created. When players perform certain actions against Enemy Players and Towns, money is added to the War Spoils Bank. Along with the War Spoils bank, there is also a Points Collection System which collects Points for each Town.

Points are lost or gained through certain actions against Enemy Players and Towns. A score sheet of the Scores are presented in chat when Wartime has finished. When Wartime has started each a Town gets transformed into a Warzone. This means that every Townblock in the Town gets a certain amount of Hit points (HP), and if an enemy player stands on the Townblock for enough time, the HP of the Townblock will go down to empty and therefore be destroyed, resulting in a point given to the enemy Town and a point taken from the losing Town. If a town's Town Central Home Block (which has more HP than Townblocks) is lost then that team has immediately lost the war and is removed from Wartime. If a Player kills an Enemy Player, they are awarded money from the dead Enemies Account. If the Enemy has no money, then the money is taken from the enemy's Town bank Account. If a Town becomes Bankrupt during Wartime, they have immediately lost the war and are removed from Wartime. When a war has come to an end through destruction of other Towns or by Time limit, the Winning Towns in the Nation split the War Spoils Bank between them. **If a Nation doesn't want to participate in war they are able to pay a fee to remain neutral. This means they will not be subject to any of the features involved in Wartime.**
