Continued support from an accumulating fan base planted in MIDDLE VILLAGE, QUEENS, and spread throughout the 5 boros, have helped inspire GUSTAPO to put it down solo, holding it down for his people and a genuine love for the music. Lyrical flows while hard and to the point are nothing new for C, influenced by experiences growing up in the heat of the NYC melting pot. Rappin' since age 15, product of early hiphop culture, NYC Public School Systems, and a self described neighborhood of "old school dudes doin it the old school way", GUSTAPO has developed a style all his own while not lacking versatility. Obstacles encountered while putting down NATURE BORN's first album and in attempting to secure a major deal, as well as difficulties behind the music hustle in general, have seasoned GUSTAPO. Armed with the knowledge instilled and a strong commitment to independence GUSTAPO has lined up production for his ILLSEED label, established a recording studio "CUCKOOS NEST RECORDING STUDIO" for the creation of the ILLSEED product, and is currently filling the stables with thorobred production and talent. Moving forward to establish himself as a solo artist, Gustapo established the ILLSEED brand as a means of avoiding the red tape and dead ends of the rap industry.
