User:GW Bio

Hi, is this a page for me? I've been making the odd edit to Wikipedia for many years now but never bothered to create a profile. Today I found myself making many additions to the CD list, so thought I should create a profile so that all edits are under the same name. I have various interests, but often use Wikipedia to research medical topics, including classes of drugs and specific biomarkers.

This is the main page I've done a lot of work on: List of human clusters of differentiation. I'm not a qualified scientist but did study some biochemistry at university. I think I've probably contributed at least half of the information on that page. When I started only half the CDs were even listed, now the list is pretty much complete, though of course much can be added in the descriptions.

I was familiar with little if any of the information beforehand and used the creation of the entries as a learning process; my main sources were Uniprot, hdcm, Wikipedia, drug companies, clinical trials, and abstracts and posters from conferences such as ASH. Despite my admittedly superficial knowledge of medicine, organic chemistry and molecular biology, I hope I have avoided mistakes by sticking to trusted sources. Of course I would welcome any corrections.
