I have a doctoral degree in computer science but am also interested in improving the quality of articles in areas like analytical philosophy and linguistics. Apart from the English Wikipedia, I mainly contribute to the German and French language versions.

I am fascinated by Wikipedia because

  • it opens up new possibilities for the task of compiling a general account of human knowledge, something I have been in fact thinking about since my childhood
  • it is an example of collaborative work in a world dominated by competition and individualism
  • it expands your horizon and is a lot of fun!
