SINIZEN is a Reggae Rock group from Huntington Beach, CA^[1]. In previous albums, they have shown such styles as Reggae, Rock, Latin Jazz, Punk, Ska, HipHop, Folk, and Pyschedelic rock. They're Third Record "Grass.Roots.Culture" is set to be Released Early 2010, and is said to be much more Reggae. They are currently on Pointless Records.

The band was created by Kevin Brown (guitar/vocals) and Jorge Guzman (sax/vocals) in 2001. They auditioned several drummers before finding Mike Manning at a Pawn shop in Huntington Beach. They quickly recruited bassist Jerry Rapp and started recording and released a 4-song E.P called "Blind Fool". Though very elementary, The band booked shows up and down Orange County and started creating a small buzz . Soon enough the band would part ways with Bassist Jerry Rapp and went through three or four bass players before coming across 19 year old bass wizard Steve Lascola in 2004. At this point the band became more creative than ever before.

Their first full length record was recorded at Griffdog Records in Huntington Beach for $700. Songs like "Another Dead American" and "Pigs" pointed fingers at political figures and war in general. Their biggest hit of the album was "My Life", a song about rebellion and youth of orange county. Their music was extremely eclectic and soon became a Local favorite amongst the youth in Orange County. Shortly after releasing the album, the band toured the west coast, playing empty venues, while trying to promote their name by hand, personally roaming the streets handing out music and fliers. Soon enough the curse of the bass player hit them again, and Steve Lascola quit the band. They spent they next year writing and looking for bassists. in 2006 they found Ian Miller, a gifted bassist from Huntington Beach. They toured the southland playing venues in Hollywood to San Diego, in 2007 They added Jon Vreeland from the band Stink Eye. His piano playing style would add fullness that the band needed, also adding a darker, more Rock sound to the band, thus creating songs from their album Speak of the Devil.

As a result of the positive vibes they were getting from showcasing new songs at shows, Pointless Records decided to put much more into the next Record, They funded the entire experience and the band Recorded at The Compound in Long Beach, Ca working with Anthony Arvizu (40 oz to Freedom engineer). They spent about a month off and on working on this record, with a guest appearance from Michael "Miguel" Happoldt and Ryan Bailey. Kevin Brown tells a story in this record about a wicked/crazy man in pure desperation, also In this record the drug references were astronomical. Members of the band were using very hard drugs while recording it with songs like "Dine in Hell", "the Nightmare", and "Medicate". The Drug use Therefore lead to the consensual departure of friend/keyboardist Jon Vreeland. The band continued to Tour after this by Jorge Guzman stepping to the plate and playing keys and saxophone. They toured for a few months then Ian Miller respectively left the band to pursue a dream in Journalism.

In early 2009, Singer/Songwriter Kevin Brown went to Belize for 2 weeks with his brother. This was a huge inspiration for him. The Caribbean brought him to his Roots and immediately stopped writing Rock music with SINIZEN. His views about the music industry changed upon arrival and started becoming much more Reggae influenced and D.I.Y oriented. Therefore creating the name of the next record "Grass.Roots.Culture". The album is set to be released Early 2010, and will be the best album yet from a band who has continued to stay alive despite the constant misfortunes.
