Hi, this is JVbird. I'm Southern by birth but I've traveled far and wide. I'm a reader, a lover of movies, and a novice beekeeper. I'm a passionate dog lover and invite all strays to stop in for a visit, if not a place to stay.
I'm particularly interested in contributing to our knowledge of southern food and culture. I also have a keen interest in specific American writers, including Reynolds Price and Michael Chabon, but I'm also a big fan of anything David Mitchell has written. I'm a big fan of musician and poet Lucinda Williams. I'm also interested in contributing to awareness of all things related to LGBTQ culture and history. I'd also like to grow my own knowledge of Icelandic history, culture and language, as Iceland is one of my favorite places on Earth.
