Connemara Jack Russell Terrier

English Jack Russell, Irish Jack Russell, Shorty Jack Russell, Puddin Jack Russell are all names for Jack Russell Terriers. These names all refer to a terrier dog that is longer than tall however the Connemara Jack Russell Terriers hail from very different bloodlines.

The DNA of these Jack Russell Terriers shows a clear difference from other known Jack Russell Terriers. Although the Connemara Jack Russell Terrier closely resembles the modern day Jack Russell Terrier they are clearly a unique Sub-Type due to selective breeding practices.

These terriers are a mostly white dog with some color but not more than 50% of the body color. They come in three distinct coat types; rough, smooth and broken. This dog is not considered a "non-shedding" breed. Great with children and other animals they are considered a companion animal.

Bred by only a small group of hobby breeders in Ireland and in the United States, breeding rights are restricted.
