I am Jane Dayus-Hinch (nee Dayus) and I am a Wedding Planner and Event Organiser in UK, Canada and USA. I was born in Wednesbury, West Midlands (UK) and attended Crewe Road Primary School before moving to Bentley, Walsall where I attended King Charles CP school. September 1969 - 1976 I attended Darlaston Grammar school, which became Darlaston Comprehensive School, Herberts Park Road Darlaston. I studied Art, English Literature, Commerce, Maths. I was a Prefect at school, and was a member of the girls hockey team and swimming team. I was also a very active member of the DCS Operatic Society. I attained 4 A levels and 9 O levels, 8 CSE's and RSA I II III in typing. I was also awarded the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at Buckingham Palace in Dec 1977. Upon leaving school I worked at Intercoat Paints, Bridegeman St, Walsall until July 1979 when the company was burned down. I worked for Apex Staff recruitment agency and then moved to West Midlands Press, Bloxwich, where I was secretary to the Financial Director John Hill. On a part time basis I worked for numerous temping agencies where I worked for Peter Styvesant cigarettes at Cowes. Foden Trucks at the Motorshow, John Player cigarettes at the Grand Prix and I filmed commercials for hair and beauty products. I entered the world of beauty pageants and won 8 titles in 1980, Miss Walsall Observer, Miss West Midlands, Lichfield Bower Queen, Darlaston Carnival Queen, Bloxwich Carnival Queen, Miss 18+, Miss Beacon Radio, Firebird Queen and qualified for the Miss United Kingdom title. I worked for Philip Morris (Marlboro) cigarettes as an indirect sales representative. After two years I was salesman of the year. I was promoted to key accounts, national accounts and worked my way to becoming the National Sales Training Manager travelling the country operating and organising the drive teams on sales incentives. I worked with celebrity Noel Edmonds in Great Yarmouth using his helicopter, and met racing driver James Hunt and won many sales incentives where I flew in Pits Special stunt planes, rode in the Marlboro jet boat, and went to Morocco and Spain when I won other sales incentives. I moved to Selwyn House, The Close, Lichfield in 1985. I was elected to be a local Councillor on the City Council. I was married in Lichfield Cathedral on 18th July 1987 to John Frederick Hinch and I had 250 guests in a marquee on The Deanery lawn. Lord Lichfield (Queens cousin, Patrick Anson Lichfield) was my wedding photographer and the replica Royal glass coach and horses came from Shrewsbury. My designer gown was made in Milan and my florist was Jean Taylor from Cathedral Florists. When Philip Morris merged with Rothmans I took the 'package' as I was head hunted by PepsiCo to work for Walkers Crisps in Leicester. Whilst I was waiting for the position to commence, there was a break - so I backpacked across India on my own. After 18 months of developing Walkers salesforce, I was transferred to Smiths Crisps in Theale, Reading to do the same formula and I was commuting two hours from Lichfield to the office and then progressed to staying at a Hotel four nights per week. It was 1991 and my Father was diagnosed with cancer. He died on January 9th 1992 and I resigned from PepsiCo. I took some time off and worked at Light & Sound Design in Birmingham (where my husband John Frederick Hinch worked) My Son, Fraser John Gresley Hinch was born on 11th April 1993 in Nuneaton and attended St Johns Prep School, St John's St.Lichfield aged 2.5 years and then Lichfield Cathedral School.
