Wikipedia Assignment #1 FAQs
How to access your sandbox
a) You can access your personal sandbox by clicking the “sandbox” tab while signed into Wikipedia on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
b) Under the students tab in your class dashboard, there are links to your classmates Wikipedia usernames and their sandboxes.
How to select your groups article:
Your group is required to choose only one article from the list of available articles. Only one member of your group is required to physically select the article on the class dashboard.
How to work with your “Sandbox”:
Groups can choose how they wish to use their sandboxes while preparing their assignments. Please add a copy of your work to your group sandbox before submitting your assignment.
Examples of how to work on this project as a group include:
- Example 1: Choose one group members sandbox. All group members go to the sandbox and take turns editing (refreshing regularly and not editing at the same time). Or have one group member act as a scribe and edit the group sandbox, while members of the group discuss the article.
- Example 2: Group members edit comments into their own sandboxes and paste them into the chosen group sandbox.
- Example 3: Groups members can use google docs to compile their comments for the assignment. If you chose not to draft your work in your sandbox, please paste your work into one group members sandbox before submitting your assignments.
Where do we hand in Assignment # 1?
