Jonathan Alexander Duncan (12 August 1982) is an American born in Salem, Oregon who grew up in Chehalis, Washington. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife Rebecca Duncan and is currently a student pursuing his B.A. in International Studies at American University's School of International Service. He is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a full-time mission in the Taiwan Taipei Mission from May 2002 to May 2004. It was in Taiwan that Jon learned Mandarin Chinese and many nuances of Chinese culture and became interested in pursuing a degree and a career in international relations. Jon is a member of the Georgetown University Army ROTC program. In connection with his studies and through the ROTC program, Jon is pursuing a scholarship offered by the Olmsted Foundation that will allow him to work and study in China during the summer of 2007. After graduation from AU in May of 2008, Jon will obtain a commission and join the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant.
