Born Jonathan Benjamin Leon, December 19, 1974, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from a french-Canadian mother and Moroccan father. Worked at his grand-parents stained glass studio in Florida, USA, from the age of 6 to 11. Jonathan was just 14 when he met the chief scientific glassblower from Hoffman-Laroche who had immigrated to Canada upon retirement, Jonathan apprenticed with him for 3 and a half years.

Jonathan then enrolled at the University of Quebec in Montreal for a bachelor's degree in Fine Art at the age of 22 while working at one of the most important fine arts gallery in Canada. After only one year Jonathan was appointed to the corporate accounts, selling paintings in the 6 figures and got respected for his expertise in Canadian fine arts from the 1850's to the 1950's. Jonathan then decided to go back to his former scientific glassblowing master for another 3 and a half years.

Jonathan opened his LOLIPOP Glassblowing studio in Val-David, Quebec, Canada in 2004. After struggling for 3 years for some kind of artistic recognition, Jonathan found Facebook and sent out over 300 packages to the most important movers and shakers in this industry. Found the overnight recognition he was looking for in his Glass work and is now being called one of the most important Contemporary Glass art jewelery creators in the world. His ambition is to become one of the most important Contemporary artist of his generation and to promote the healing powers of art through his creations and through the artists he promotes.
