The Servers
The Servers was formed in 1999 with Kelly McCord on guitar, Tiny Morris on banjo, Galen Barrow on mandolin, Tony Mobley on bass, and Bobby Robinson on additional vocals. This group recorded their first album and it was entitled "One Morning Past Daybreak." Two years later after Galen left, they went on to record the second album entitled "He Paid A Debt and the third album entitled "Page 57." The group went their separate ways and Kelly went on to work with the legendary Paul Williams and the Victory Trio for a year. In April 2008, they came back together and the group at this time was Kelly on guitar, Tiny on banjo, Tony on bass, Amos "Moose" Wilder on bass, and Kevin Hunt on mandolin. This group recorded the fourth album "Beyond the Sunset in 2010. " Tony left the group and in 2012, two new members came to the group: Jeff Wright and Brandon Fennell. They recorded their fifth album in 2012 called Glorious Day. " In 2014, Johnny Ray Watts came to the group and the next year they recorded their 6th album Home. " Then in 2016, bad news came when Tiny was diagnosed with cancer. The group decided to record their 7th album called The Journey." This album would be the last album that Tiny ever did with The Servers as his journey was over on July 20, 2017 at the age of 69. Tiny spent 18 years with the group. Then the group did another personnel change. Kelly on guitar, Galen on mandolin, Moose on bass, Johnny on fiddle, and Brandon on banjo. On January 17, 2019, the group needed a lead guitar player so Kelly called Tom Troy and he asked him if his grandson would like to join The Servers. His grandson accepted. His grandson's name is Joshua Evans. After Johnny and Moose left, the personnel changed again. Kelly on rhythm guitar, Galen on mandolin, Brandon on banjo, Josh on lead guitar, and Tony Mobley on bass. That's the group lineup that exists today. The Servers are a group of Christian men that spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in song. Their style of singing is bluegrass gospel with a southern gospel flavor. They sing to approximately 50 to 60 dates a year. We hope that somebody gets a blessing out of something we sing. Most of all, we want to see somebody saved and that's why we continue to travel.
