Max Ink (born John Guevin on 29 May 1969 in Erie, Pennsylvania) is a cartoonist and small press comic book writer currently living in Columbus, Ohio.

Max Ink began working in minicomics in 1989 as an artist on Dungar the Barbarian, written and published by Ian Shires. In 1993, he began illustrating Ameoba Adventures which was created, written and published by Nik Dirga.[1] Amoeba Adventures was an anthropomorphic superhero humor comic that focused on the adventures of of Prometheus, the amoeba and his superhero team, The All-Spongy Squadron. The series ended in 1998 after Ink took an extended leave of absence due to complications brought on by manic depression.

In 2003, Ink created and began self-publishing the black and white comic book series Blink. The book is a slice-of-life comic that focuses on the friendship of two 20-something women, Blink and Sam, who live and work in Columbus. The book has frequently been compared to the works of Terry Moore (Strangers In Paradise), Alex Robinson (Box Office Poison) and Carla Speed McNeil (Finder)[2] [3] and received a SPACE Prize nomination in 2008. The first trade paperback collection, So Far, was published in March, 2011. Ink is currently in the process of writing and drawing the next Blink graphic novel, So It Goes.
