Translation Diary
Week Task Time Challanges
We started to work with Wikipedia and created our own accounts 90+ In the beginninng everything was a little overwhelming.
We compared our translations and finished off with the text Stork Farm Loburg. We discussed our translations and corrected the mistakes. 90+ I recognized that we tended to use German sentence constructions as we translated the sentences word by word. Also creating the hyperlinks was difficult as it sometimes didn't work properly.
We translated the article about Nils Mohl and inserted most of the links. 90+ Many of the words were really German like some prizes and were therefore hard to translate. Also there were many names of books and other pieces of literature where we did not know exactly how to translate them.
We finished our translation about Nils Mohl, did some proof reading and added the categories. 90+ we had some difficulties with the references because they were somehow messed up and we didn't know why.
We got finished with "Nils Mohl" and published it. 90+ We werent sure if the article would be accepted and had to hope for the best
We started out with "lines". 90+ The article was poorly written, therefore translating it wasn all we had to do. A lot of work was about trying to improve the article.
We finished the lines article. 90+ We had difficulties publising the article, since we did it the other way around this time.
I assites David with the article on "Französische Eisenbahnmetrik". 90+ some mathematics-specific terms new to us, we had to look up several specific expressions
